Basiclo is a brand rooted in local craftsmanship, created in the spirit of modern heritage. It was founded personally by Jakub Chmielniak, the creator of Mr. Gugu & Miss Go, Carpatree, and other brands. We have been sewing in Poland, in Bielsko-Biała, for nearly two decades, sustaining the tradition of quality garment production while giving it a contemporary form – clean, functional, and designed to last for years.
Versatile cuts and a muted palette that mix easily into everyday outfits.
Thoughtful finishes, refined proportions, and materials that drape well.
Local production, consistent quality control, and real influence over every stage of making a garment.
We don’t copy the past. We take from it what matters most: solid craftsmanship, respect for materials, and responsibility for the product. Then we translate these values into modern cuts, current proportions, and a minimalist aesthetic.
We design clothes that aren’t a seasonal response to trends, but lasting pieces of your wardrobe. Simple forms, refined details, and consciously selected materials ensure our designs retain their original shape, structure, and character over many seasons.
At Basiclo, quality starts with the raw material. We work with knitwear and fabrics produced in Poland, selected for weight, stability, durability, and wearing comfort. Each material is tested in real-life use – not only in the lab or on samples.
We build long-term relationships with local manufacturers and suppliers, jointly refining material parameters so the final product is consistent in quality and resistant to the test of time. This is our contemporary take on tradition: not sentiment, but a quality standard.
We produce locally because we want real influence over quality and production conditions. We treat every stage of garment creation as part of a craft process – from yarn selection, through cutting, to finishing the details. The cut, proportions, and construction are planned so the clothes don’t visually age after one season. We don’t chase trends – we filter them through functionality and timelessness.
We want Basiclo to be a brand you return to – not because something “wore out,” but because what you already have still works well.
